Muscle Tech Ltd. is an Israel-based R&D company engaged in developing intelligent robotic
rehabilitation devices for the health care industry and artificial muscle systems for medical
and industrial applications.
The Company’s goal is to produce a line of intelligent robotic rehabilitation and Assistive
devices that will be beneficial for each stage of a disabled individual’s rehabilitation and, if
required, permanent disability - from initial treatment at a hospital and/or rehab center to
longer-term rehabilitation and assistance at home.
The Company’s proprietary Orthodynamic Rehabilitator, a compact and portable computer
program-controlled diagnostic, measurement and rehabilitative device, will undergo clinical
testing in early 2004 at several prominent US research institutions.
A unique and proprietary artificial muscle developed by the Company is a small, highly
powerful, lightweight, bi-directional actuator for which a US patent was granted in 2003. It will
be a critical component in another device under development, an Assistive Orthodynamic
Sleeve, a flexible, elastic polymer device that extends a muscle-impaired individual’s range of
movement and amplify his/her power.
The Company plans to manufacture and market its products by developing strategic
relationships with leading companies in the health care and rehabilitation fields.
